At the Bardstown Road Animal Clinic our goal is to treat your pets as if they were a member of our own family. We strive to keep a personal doctor patient relationship based on trust. To work as a team to exceed our clients wants, needs and expectations. Also, we will keep you well educated so you can make the best choice for your pet.

Dr. Derf Bridges

Dr. Bridges graduated from Auburn University in 1982. He is married and has a dog and a cat. In his free time he enjoys swimming and spending time with his family.

Office Manager

Tonya Morgan

Tonya has been working at the clinic for 23 years.  She is married and has 1 son and 5 cats. Tonya is also currently attending nursing school.






Laura has loved being around animals since she was young and always knew she wanted to be in the animal medicine field. Laura and her husband moved to Kentucky from Florida in 2013 and is now attending Brown Mackie College to be a Veterinary Technician. On her free time she loves to read, crochet, cook, and go on walks with their dog Lizzie.


Sarah has been with us for 3 years. She graduated from Murray State with a Pre-Vet/AHT.  In her free time she enjoys movies and traveling.



Kari is a Murray State graduate. Who lives in shelbyville with her two dogs Tito and Yugen. She enjoys walking her dogs, horseback riding, and kayaking.
