At the Bardstown Road Animal Clinic our goal is to treat your pets as if they were a member of our own family. We strive to keep a personal doctor patient relationship based on trust. To work as a team to exceed our clients wants, needs and expectations. Also, we will keep you well educated so you can make the best choice for your pet.

Dr. Derf Bridges

Dr. Bridges graduated from Auburn University in 1982. He is married and has a dog and a cat. In his free time he enjoys swimming and spending time with his family.

Office Manager

Tonya Morgan

Tonya has been working at the clinic for 26 years.  She is married and has 1 son and 4 cats. Tonya is currently an RN and she is working towards her BSN.




Nicole lives in Bardstown, KY and is a mom of 3 boys, 2 dogs and several kitties.  She loves to craft and is very active in rescue work.



Lucy is a Disney obsessed 19 year old Bellarmine Student studying biology.  I hope to become a zoologist, and my ultimate dream is to travel the world helping animals in need.  I have 3 dogs, a conure, a ball python, a bearded dragon, a turtle, and a chinchilla. 



Karrah is currently a student at the University of Louisville.  She has 3 cats and loves the outdoors.


Sadie was born and raised in Jeffersonville, IN until a little over a year ago when she made her way across the Ohio River to Louisville.  She moved to Kentucky after she married her husband, Justin, in the fall of 2018.  Bardstown Rd Animal Clinic gave her an opportunity of a lifetime, to work with her favorite furry friends.  She is super excited to grow and learn with us.



Kari is a Murray State graduate. Who lives in shelbyville with her two dogs Tito and Yugen. She enjoys walking her dogs, horseback riding, and kayaking.




 Austin is a 21 year old senior attending University of Louisville for a degree in Wildlife Biology.  He plans on moving to the west to work after college.


Sarah has loved animals for her whole life.  She started riding horses when she was 6 years old, and continues to train them in her spare time.  Her previous job was at the Louisville Zoo.  Overtime, she has learned how animals communicate and express their needs, making her an excellent caregiver.  She is also the proud mom of a dog, Brantley and a cat, Chloe. 



Katie is a graduate of EKU and received a Bachelors degree in Animal Studies.  She has volunteered at the Kentucky Humane Society and completed internships at the Salato Wildlife Center.  She has always had a passion for animals.  In her free time she loves spending time with her Golden-Doodle, Honey.


Anya is a recent biomedical engineering graduate from North Carolina State University.  She hopes to become a veterinarian in the future and specialize in orthopedic surgery.  In her free time, she likes to go hiking, try new foods, and spend time with her kitten, Gronk.

Kennel Worker/Technician



Kaitlyn was raised on a crop/cattle farm and is an FFA alumni.  She has 3 dogs: Blue, Belle and Jolene.  Her hobbies include skiing, reading, and playing with her dogs.
